Though I use to go very often, I do not particularly enjoy bowling. I use to go every other day for Physical Education in my High School since we had a bowling alley at walking distance. After my two years of P.E. my friends would invite me to go bowling every so often and most the times I would tag along. I started to realize bowling was not my cup of tea during high school. People around me would get absorbed into their scores and become very competitive. I on the other hand, did not care much for my performance and would become increasingly bored as the game continued. Over time I have greatly reduced my visits to a bowling alley, and have been satisfied with my decision.

Sailing Center

Though our class was not able to be too involved in the learning of the children, I believe they had a life changing experience. Before attending the Sailing Center, most kids thought that a learning environment had to be in a classroom setting where they are expected to be seated. The environment they were in accommodated kinesthetic and visual learners since they were physically doing an activity and observing the results. This may have been the point in which a child decided what kind of learner they are. Whether they learned better when the teacher was talking, when they were building boats or when they were observing what floated and what did not. At the end of the day the kids were able to learn about buoyancy, and have some fun doing so. They were also able to get to know themselves a little better in regards to what learning style works best for them.

Strangely enough the best day of September was the day of my uncle’s funeral. Though the thought of no longer having him around was saddening it was the first time in years that all of our family came together. Unfortunately, I was only able to make the reception but I truly enjoyed being surrounded by loved ones which I had not seen in awhile. We were all able to bond with one another, as well as celebrate my uncle’s life. On my way to the event I thought it was going to be a difficult and full of sorrow. To my dismay, It was actually an enjoyable event that created a bond amongst all of us.
